♻️ The "Be The Change" Collection is made from plastic trash cleaned up & collected from Space Coast beaches. A portion of proceeds from these pieces is donated to Keep Brevard Beautiful in support of their mission to remove trash from local beaches, rivers, and parks.
🏽This piece was created by Cocoa Beach High School class of 2024 seniors, Cooper Hewitt & Chase Williams.
As part of a CBHS Key Club community project, club member Chase Williams began collecting plastic trash from local beaches, and using these materials to create pieces of art. Upon realizing he really enjoyed the process, he invited his friend Cooper to join him.
A word from CBHS student artist Cooper Hewitt …
"My friend Chase showed me some of the cool mosaic art he'd created in Key Club. I was really intrigued with the whole process. When Chase asked me about working together to create more pieces, I was in! I’ve always been a creative person, and was totally up for this new style of art," said Cooper.
"The idea of making beach-themed pieces seemed like a perfect fit. Not only would we be creating fun, engaging pieces of art - but we'd also be cleaning up our local beaches in the process!"
♻️ Remember: YOU can be the change with every handful of trash you collect.
